Songs That Saved My Life (Kill Hannah)

Shannon’s Perspective:

“I remember, I remember everything”

I thoroughly enjoy this song and this band, but I do not really have anything specific to write about for tonight’s song. I will just take a moment to thank Larry for continuing to be my amazing husband and friend.

Larry’s Pick: Songs That Saved My Life

Speaking of Chicago - here's another song from the band Kill Hannah that was formed in Chicago in 1993.

I already shared my discovery of them with the song Scream. But they're a band that I discovered too late in their life - because by that time they were pretty much over. That didn't stop me from getting their albums and enjoying their work.

I love when there are nuggets of pop culture in songs and in their song Mouth to Mouth there is a soundbite from Shawshank - Get busy living Or get busy dying.

To me this just presents some great visuals for anyone like me - who loves and feels music. I have had tracks shape and change me while in speeding cars (ask Shannon about all my speeding tickets sometime) and lying on a floor...

"I remember, remember everything
All the tracks that shaped and changed me
Inside a speeding car
And lying on your floor"
