Shannon’s Perspective:
“I thought that they were angels
But to my surprise
We climbed aboard their starship
We headed for the skies”
There are not a lot of guarantees in life. Hell, there’s even a saying about it written by Benjamin Franklin. “In this world nothing can be said to be certain, except death and taxes.” I would argue with Ben that there is one more certainty…..if the aliens ever come for Larry he will be gone in a heartbeat, even if that means getting hoobajoobed like Cartman from South park.
Disclaimer: Everything I type tonight is the truth. There is no sarcasm or bullshitting - it's my honest beliefs.
Oh to go back in time and hear this song for the first time again. Just like a movie with a great ending that catches you off-guard, you only get to experience it once. But if the movie, or song in this case, has staying power, it will always be great.
I've already made reference to some "out of this world" hopes and dreams I have in the Rebel Girl write-up, but it all comes full circle with my favorite part of this song:
"I thought that they were angels
But to my surprise
We climbed aboard their starship
We headed for the skies"
I don't think we will dive too deep into political or religious beliefs on this journey, but I'd be remiss if for this write-up, I did not mention the movie Knowing. You can walk away after reading this knowing that my personal belief in what has happened in the history of our existence is the plot of Knowing. I'm dead serious.
To each their own...
P.S. After hearing Shannon's thoughts, this is the most appropriate response I could come up with... Would I get hoop-a-joobed? (watch to the end)...
