These songs are tied to a memory reference from a note I wrote to Larry on this day in 1993 so I’m just gonna leave this here.

Larry’s Perspective:
Not much to say - enjoy the glimpse into our boring life in 1993.
Regarding Urge Overkill, well.....that was short lived. I'm guessing people know their version of Neil Diamonds "Girl, You'll Be a Woman Soon" from Pulp Fiction more than any of their own songs - except Sister Havana. They honestly did not have any more notable songs and rode the Sister Havana wave as long as they could.
Regarding the Zooropa album (which Lemon is off of) - Even back in 1993 when it was released, I was a little disappointed. U2 was still on their Zoo TV tour supporting Achtung Baby, which again I consider a perfect album, and Zooropa was anything but. I understood what they were going after and applaud the courage to do it, but it just didn't hit me the same way. There are some great songs on the album, but at the end of the day I felt it was all over the board.
It was released on July 5th, 1993 but I had to wait until July 6th, 1993 to buy it in SALINA KANSAS at the world famous CENTRAL MALL MUSICLAND #88 for the low price of $19.23! I must have really been in love to head to Kansas after dating a girl for almost 8 months. IIRC the only reason we stopped in Salina was so I could buy this album. I also think I was a little scared that I wouldn't be able to find it for sale in the state anywhere...it is Kansas after all in the early 90's...

P.S. Since Shannon is in Ohio and I'm not talking to her about this write-up in real time - yes, I remember why we were going to Kansas...
