This song was my pick and it made it to the list in the first place because of the above lyric. I tell Larry all the time that no one else would take this shit from me. But then I decided to be funny about it and decided that the longest day of the year would be the perfect day to dance to a song titled Long Day. Well, that day is today, June 20th is the longest day of 2024. What I did not plan for was the universe deciding to make June 19th a long day both physically and emotionally.
I had my latest Ketamine treatment and this one was draining for a lot of reasons, some good and some not so good but as always Larry was right there beside me through it all. But that did mean that while I was choosing lyrics for my write up that now there was a different one that seemed so much more appropriate for the moment.

It's been a long day, always ain't that right”
That’s my Larry always reaching to find me some hope. BTW, I envision him pulling hope out of his pocket like a magician pulling silk scarves out of their sleeve, just when you think there is no hope left boom here comes some more hope. He has made the last 30 plus years the most wonderful and beautiful experience I could have ever imagined or hoped for.

Those that really know me would have guessed that I picked this song due to this being the longest day in 2024 - but that honor is all Shannon's. And I have to give her props!
