Wow wait was I was about to fall asleep? Jigglypuff almost did it again.
Larry had Snorlax and I had Jigglypuff and with 2 small kids it's not a surprise he choose the Pokémon that needed to sleep and I choose the Pokémon who could put anyone to sleep with their song. But I’m the one who thought it should be today’s song since today was infusion day and on that day I’m the one on the verge of being asleep.
Too many fond memories of Pokémon with the kids over the years to mention them all here and now but rest assured (pun intended) I will try and jot them down another day. Infusion day and quite honestly week can be a challenge at times to get things done...

Do you know where you were in February, 1999? Neither do I. But I know where my sons were. Watching Pokémon premiere on Saturday morning Kids WB. They were 4 and 3 at the time.
It's 2024. 25 years later. What a freaking juggernaut Pokémon has become. I'd have to think about it a little bit, but I think this may be the first Anime they ever watched.
Let me backtrack and state the shows, even under extreme pressure from the ad agency villains, that we REFUSED to let our sons watch - Barney & Friends and The Teletubbies. This was no easy feat and our sons owe us for sparing them.
So we all know what parents do when your kids are that young. First, you check out what they are watching to make sure its ok. Second, since they are so into it, you have to get involved somewhat so you can be part of their passion - as well as the cool parent.
Well we went above and beyond. We learned the Pokémon names, how they evolved, how stupid Team Rocket was, all the songs and most importantly - which one was our favorite.
Since at that time I'm a young dad with two toddlers there really wasn't a contest once I found out it existed....
Snorlax
Yes. Good 'ol Snorlax. Snorlax is a large blueish creature notable for constantly sleeping. And yes - that is a magnet on my refrigerator today.
Just some good memories pretending to be Snorlax - and sometimes I wasn't pretending!
P.S. Recently Shannon and I had the opportunity to share our Pokémon knowledge with her nieces - and dare I say not only were they impressed, but their parents were as well!
P.P.S. We had to drive to Cleveland, Ohio to see this Poke-Bug. It is literally the only reason we went. The things you do for your kids...
