Two people against the world is truly a tale as old as time and with a tale that old there are so many songs to choose from, overwhelmingly so, to be honest. This one though has always stood out for me. It is perfection in my mind. I love Alicia Keys voice and the emotion and soul she brings to the song make me love it even more. The album this was one came out almost 15 years after Larry and I started dating but it still became a song that made me think of the beginning of us.
Larry’s Perspective:
This is one of those rare songs on this journey that I was not familiar with. I have listened to the song off and on knowing Shannon was using it, but I didn't really know her thoughts until tonight.
