I’m sure I’ve heard this song many times over the years but for me it will always be a song from the True Romance soundtrack. If you haven’t seen the movie, I highly recommend it.
On to what this month’s theme is supposed to be about….sarcasm. I know it might be hard for some of you to believe but I am a tad bit sarcastic at times and the rest of the time I’m just totally sarcastic. From the beginning Larry shared my love of sarcasm and over the years the line between sarcasm and music began to blur a bit. We choose to lean into the sarcasm and have fun with it.
What? Burl Ives actually sings something other than that one Christmas tune? Who would have thought?
Definitely a "Release The Sarcasm!" song.
Yes I've acted like a clown over the years.
Yes I've implied I'd be fine alone / with my fans over the years.
Yes I've said "I'm not crying; you're crying" over the years.
But a little bitty tear did let me down.
