    Shannon’s Perspective:

    “Girl, before I met you, I was F-I-N-E, fine.”

    I was told I could not use the lyric I wanted to but I did anyway and also know that FINE is….

    F = Fucked Up
    I = Insecure
    N = Neurotic
    E = Emotional

    So yes, Larry was F-I-N-E before he met me.

    Larry’s Pick: What It Takes

    I chose this song - for one line and one line only. So don't let Shannon using it throw you off. I specifically told her not to use it, but she's Shannon, so she's using it.

    "Girl before I met you, I was F-I N-E , fine"

    True story - no sarcasm in this next bit. I was, and still somewhat am, a selfish person. When Shannon and I first started dating, I made it clear that I honestly never wanted to get married and I honestly did not want to have children. Which I was F-I-N-E fine with.

    Well look at me now. Married 30+ years. A son. Another son and a daughter-in-law. On our fourth Akita.

    At some point in the past something changed and I fell victim to domestication.

    So yes, girl before I met you...

    P.S. Shannon's definition of F-I-N-E, fine, which she claims Steve Tyler told her personally that's what it means (or as printed in the CD liner notes), I'm calling B-U-L-L-S-H-I-T on.
