I couldn’t have found better lyrics to express how this project feels when I’m doing my write ups. I remember this song from high school days, but I don’t really have any strong memories tied to it.
I'll admit - I think the video is terrible relative to the message in the lyrics. So if you don't know the song, just let the video play in the background.
I honestly don't know why I get so emotional with this song. As I've thought about it lately, I think maybe it's because if I had the ability to write a song, it might be written just like this.
But this song has always struck a chord with me. I made a promise to Shannon and I never intend to break it.
