I kid you not - I once saw an interview with Stephen Hillenburg, the creator of SpongeBob, where he told his team he wanted the loudest, most obnoxious theme song they could possibly create to literally piss parents off early on a Saturday morning because their kids would be screaming along with it.
Mission Accomplished. Sort of. Like GWB.
Where they failed is it did not piss me off. I thought it was fantastic and screamed right along with the boys. Shannon pointed out to me that SpongeBob is 25 years old this year. That's unbelievable to me. He's been around almost as long as we have been married.
We loved watching with the boys because it was so funny. Patrick. Sandy. Squidward. Mr. Krabs.
