Our Perspective / Pick: Tiny Tank

I think Shannon and I are proud to say we have a little bit of dark humor and sarcasm in us. And those traits have served us well over the years.

But imagine it's 1999 - your "oldest" son just turned 5 and your "youngest" son is about to turn 4 - and since you are an OG gamer, you buy this game for the PS1.

I mean - it was marketed as "Tiny Tank: Up Your Arsenal" - if you don't find that funny, we probably wouldn't get along very well.

So you throw the game in the old PS1 and wouldn't you know it, the toilet humor didn't just stop at the marketing. No sir. Tiny Tank "aims" to entertain.

Entertain it did. I mean just watch the Patton inspired trailer above.

The unfortunate thing is that this game could have been so much better if it wasn't for those meddling ESRB kids. For you see, the ESRB was established in 1994, and honestly was still establishing themselves when this game came out.

Should I have paid attention to the "Rated T" warning - maybe. But sitting down with the boys playing this was good times...and yes, the picture above was taken today in Columbus, Ohio. It's still part of the family...

P.S. I know technically this isn't a song, but in Shannon's mind she can hear the boys singing the lines from Tiny Tanks foul mouth...
