Trapped in the Drive-Thru (Weird Al Yankovic)

Our Perspective / Pick: Trapped in the Drive-Thru

There was a time when we lived in Pickerington that it just so happened a friend of our sons, Jordan, lived in the subdivision across Diley Road with his younger brother Karl. Based on our work schedules, our sons pretty much lucked out and very rarely ever had to ride the bus - one of us would always take them to school and pick them up. So it just made sense sometimes that we would swing over and pick up Jordan and Karl.

One of the best things that we could have done, because this memory comes courtesy of that decision.

Being music lovers, nothing warms the heart more than your sons AND one of their best friends BURSTING into song in the car ad-lib acapella. So no music is playing, and they keep singing something about "the drive-thru".

Hating being left out of the inside joke, the "what are you singing" question is posed. And that, my friends, is how we found out that Weird Al never went away. Here are our sons and their friends belting out this song.

What the what? Here is our kids generation busting out Weird Al, who quite honestly, we had no idea was still around past his 1999 Star Wars parody.
This song came out in 2006 and through our sons, was introduced to us. Much like our entry earlier for the Weird Al concert, this song is hilarious.

Besides the memory of our sons, this does conjur up every memory I've ever made with Shannon arguing over what to have for dinner...and her making me go in to get it because she's wearing bunny slippers and A'int leaving our ride...
