Sing, Sing, Sing (With a Swing) (Louis Prima)

Our Perspective / Pick: Sing, Sing, Sing (With a Swing)

Tonight's song comes to you courtesy of the movie Swing Kids. There was a time in the early to mid 90's when swing music and dance became a thing again.

Even though the movie itself deals with a heavy subject, the music was fantastic.

Gabriel and I (Larry) always enjoyed this type of music - and by type I basically mean instrumental - whether it be classical, soundtracks, swing, etc.

Although Louis Prima wrote this song in 1936, its popularity is really credited to the Benny Goodman version. And wouldn't you know it, it really became famous due to the drumming of Gene Krupa - who I know rivaled Buddy Rich at the same time who I know later inspired Neil Peart.

Just a fun all around song. From 1936.

I wish I could swing dance...
