Shannon’s Perspective:

“Find that next stage no matter what that may be
Take my lead, I'll set you free”

I did not get to enjoy this event with the family since I was already living back in Kansas. That time alone in Kansas was always hard at times like this because our little family of 4 had always spent a lot of time together and now I was missing out on these things. I may not have been there in person but Larry did text me throughout the night with updates, it sounds like they all had a good time.

P.S. I agree with Larry 100% that Connor did hit the jackpot with Kristen.

Larry’s Perspective / Kristen’s Pick: Escape From The City…For City Escape

Well what do you know? Many, many years after taking the boys to see Video Games live they came back around again.

And this time, it wasn't in a huge public venue Auditorium. No sir! It was at FAIRFIELD CHRISTIAN CHURCH!

The same Fairfield Christian Church that was in our former hometown of Lancaster, Ohio. The same Fairfield Christian Church that decided to start their own private Christian Academy. The same Christian Academy that our sons attended from Pre-K through 2nd Grade.

To say this was weird is an understatement.

What was also weird is that Shannon wasn't with us this time. This was July 25th, 2019, and she was a few months into her solo tour in Kansas. This is also just a little over a month before I left Lbrands. So a really tense time all the way around.

So the attendees this time were myself, Gabriel, Connor and Kristen (Connor's soon to be wife!)

In the spirit of hearing new music as well as honoring Kristen joining the family and getting to see one of Connor's early schools, I reached out to her to get her favorite video game song.

Why video game song? Well let's just say Connor hit the jackpot with Kristen. Not only is she beautiful, intelligent and kind - she has the most video games of anyone I have ever met. She also has the Sheldon Cooper like quality of remembering every game she ever bought, where she bought it, what she was wearing, what day of the week it was, etc. etc.

Ok - I might have stretched that last bit a little, but she does have an incredible memory regarding her collection.

And like I stated in my text above - it was so funny to be in the church that we attended school worship events in that was now hosting Rated E for Everyone to Rated M for Mature video game music...
