Don’t Go Away Mad (Just Go Away) (Motley Crue)

Shannon’s Perspective:

“We were walkin through some youth, smiling through the pain.”

1989……Motley Crue…..Dr. Feelgood, what a great time to be walking through youth. While this song was before Larry and I met, it was one we liked to play for each other as a way to either (a) throw flames on the fire or (b) cut through the tension. Unfortunately, it was up to the person who did not choose to play the song to figure out which.

Larry’s Pick: Don’t Go Away Mad (Just Go Away)

...and the sarcasm hits just keep on coming.

The Dr. Feelgood album was released right after I graduated high school - so a great time in my life. Such great memories of music from this era, and Dr. Feelgood is definitely one of them. There are at least six fantastic tracks from that album.

This song isn't the stereotypical type you would imagine coming from Motley Crue. If you just listen to it, it's honestly just a feel-good tongue in cheek song.

And although it is another "B.S." (before Shannon) song, it still got a lot of playful airplay over the past 30+ years. Including tonight!
